BERNARD DUBOIS II was born in Buffalo, NY and raised in Ontario, Canada. Bernard started his professional training at Canada’s National Ballet School under the direction of Mavis Staines. He also attended Hamilton City Ballet for a short time in 2013 before going on to attend Montreal’s L’Ecole Superieure de Ballet du Quebec, directed by Anik Bissonette, under scholarship. Here, he was given the opportunity to perform lead roles in ballets such as La Bayadere and Swan lake. During this time, he worked with many renowned dancers and teachers like Samuel Abramian, Jesus Corrales, Gioconda Barbuto, Jeremy Ransom and Martine Lamy and performed works by choreographers Mauro Bigonzetti, Vincent Nebrada and Erik Bruhn, to name a few. Bernard has also performed Fernand Nault’s Casse-Noisette with Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montreal for the past 2 years. Bernard has won the first place prize at the Quebecois dance competition Bravissimo. This is Bernard’s first season with Collage.
