An Evening of Poetry and Dance with Dr. Jericho Brown

Saturday, May 2

6:00 - 8:00PM

Collage Dance invites the community to experience We Leave Things Green, a special evening where poetry, movement, and music meet in one intimate artistic gathering.

Pulitzer Prize–winning poet Jericho Brown will share live readings from his celebrated works while dancers from the Collage Dance Conservatory respond through movement, creating a powerful dialogue between language and dance. Together, the artists bring poetry off the page and into motion, revealing how written and embodied art forms can illuminate one another.

At the heart of this evening is a shared vision: planting and nurturing the next generation of artists. The event highlights the promise and talent of Conservatory students while inviting audiences into a creative exchange between literature, performance, and community.

Following the program, guests will have the opportunity to purchase signed copies of Dr. Brown’s most recent works.

Proceeds from the evening benefit the Collage Dance Conservatory and help ensure that exceptional dance training and arts education remain accessible to young people from all backgrounds.
