MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis may be known for it’s Jookin dance form but one dance company, the Collage Dance Collective, is proving ballet can be a part of the city’s identity too. They work to improve diversity in dance, especially black boys. Caleb Thompson is one such black young man. He has been dancing ballet the last 3 years, but like many boys his age, his first thought was that it wasn’t for him.

SUPPORT THE POWER OF ONE

Collage has a bold vision and a powerful plan to position our non-profit organization as a national leader in dance education and a beacon of inclusivity in ballet. Can we count on you this giving season, to move ONE step closer?
